We're Off To See The Wizard ...

Our local community theater put on a youth play of the Wizard of Oz.  Bailey really wanted a part, and she worked so hard on her song for auditions. She was excited when she found out she got two parts, a munchkin and an Ozian in the Emerald City.  She wasn't just a munchkin in the background either, she was part of the Lullaby League and got to sing a special little song with two other girls.  They had adorable pink outfits and did a great job.  April was a long month because she had many rehearsals as well as soccer going at the same time.  Last weekend it was finally time for the big performances - one on Friday evening and two on Saturday.  Grandma Lynn and Uncle Shane came from Belgrade to watch as well as Grandma and Grandpa Muscha from Harvey.  Jen and the boys took in a show too. We had a crazy busy weekend, but lots of fun.

The girls in the show could get a special gel manicure, which looked great until Bailey picked it all off the next day.

Here is Dorothy and Glinda the Good Witch of the North.

Bailey is the little pink munchkin in the front.

The munchkins all hit the floor and played dead when the Wicked Witch came on stage.

The Lullaby League waiting for their song.

After a costume change Bailey got to be an Ozian in the Emerald City too.  She is in the dark green dress with purple sleeves.

The Lullaby League girls getting silly before a performance.

We got to buy the costume which was adorable.  I love the hats!

Bailey loved Elizabeth who played Glinda.

The Wicked Witch of the West was a great actress!
We are so proud of you Bailey!  You did an amazing job.  We are looking forward to the next play.

Deek and Josie Cuteness

We dog-sat for Miles' coworker who has a very friendly dog named Deek.  He was so gentle and nice with the kids, and he was a great listener.  At one point Josie was using him as a stool to get up onto the couch, and he didn't even seem to mind.  He is welcome at our house anytime.

Bailey wanted a picture with Deek so she could remember him.

Josie thinks it is quite fun to put on clothes belonging to other people, and she especially likes Bailey's hats.

Lots of Easter!

Easter started early at our house because Bailey was anxious to dye eggs.  So we did a few at home even though we were going to be gone for Easter weekend.

The first part of our trip over Easter weekend was to Plentywood to visit my aunt, uncle, and grandpa.  I didn't end up with any pictures of Carl and Karen, but I got a few of the girls with their great grandpa Bob.  It was so nice to spend time with them.

Bailey traveled great, but Josie was only happy when she was sleeping.  The rest of the time she cried and tried to get out of her buckles.  Fun stuff.

After we left Plentywood we headed for Harvey, ND.  We had a great weekend there, and the girls (and their cousins) enjoyed all of the Easter activities.

Bailey and Josie taking a little walk on the farm in their Easter dresses. So sweet.

The older kids got to dye eggs.

Harvey has an Easter egg "hunt" downtown where the kids get to go into businesses and collect treats.  We ran into the Easter bunny too.

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day, and the kids loved hunting for eggs.

Mom and Dad enjoyed the sunshine!

Grass, Truffles, Buicks, and Soccer

This might be my most random combination of topics so far in this blog.  I have to admit it is out of pure laziness because I don't want to do four separate posts.

The snow FINALLY melted and we can see our grass again, or what is left of it.  Winter was hard on the yard.  Bailey is running from Miles because he is getting ready to throw a snowball at her.  I am pretty sure he missed.

Mud fun!

We were in charge of dessert for a gathering, and I decided truffles would be perfect.  Haley Hould spend the night, and I set the girls to work rolling truffle balls.  Yes, I made them wash their hands.  With soap.

The truffles were very yummy, and we took lots of different toppings so people could try them all.

After 14 years with my Honda CRV, we decided it was time for something bigger.  This is our new Buick Enclave.  I LOVE it!  It is so nice to have more room to haul around extra kiddos, and all of the fancy features are quite fun as well.

It is spring soccer time again, and Miles is coaching Bailey's team.

Josie only tries to run out onto the field a few times at each game!  She is easily distracted by snacks though.

Go Bailey!
Everyone was cheering and Josie had to get in on the action.

The Gallatin Valley - April 2014

I am finally getting pictures posted from our long weekend in Belgrade/Bozeman.  We had a great time even though the weather was cold and rainy. The pictures loaded a bit out of order, but I guess it really doesn't matter. Thanks to our friends and family for making the weekend so wonderful.  It was amazing to see everyone, and we hope to see you all again soon.

Sarah went to prom with her boyfriend, Nathan.  She is absolutely beautiful!

Josie insisted on wearing Sarah's Toms and carrying a "purse" around.  So fancy!
Of course she also wanted to stand on a booster chair and watch cartoons. Not so fancy.

Grandma and Bailey did some fun crafts together.

Josie was really into hugs one evening, and she sure loves her cousin Sarah.

Bailey and Uncle Shane got in on the hugging action too.

The Muscha girls first thing in the morning.

Just chillin' with Grandpa Wayne on the sofa

Bailey talked Shane and Sarah into a few games of Go Fish. Josie tried to help.

Grandpa Bob and Grandma Sue got Josie a new baby doll, and she spent lots of time feeding it a bottle.

We couldn't pass up an opportunity to go to the Museum of the Rockies for the gecko exhibit.

After seeing ALL the geckos we took the girls upstairs to play.

Bailey taught Josie all about different bird eggs.

And she dressed Josie up as a bald eagle.

It was cold and windy, but we decided to stop and feed the ducks at MSU anyway.

Our wonderful friends were having a dinner party, and we were so lucky to be there to join them. The kids got to fondue!

The meal was amazing and the company was perfect!  We miss you guys!

We took Grandpa Bob out for a belated birthday breakfast (say that fast 3 times) and Bailey got to pick the shape of her pancake.  I was very impressed when this arrived.  It's a horse, of course.

Overall a great weekend!
