Sound of Music

Bailey had a fantastic audition and got a part in The Sound of Music!  She is Gretl Von Trapp and has loved being part of the production.  The five night a week rehearsal schedule until 9 or 10 at night has been brutal, but the show is wonderful.  One weekend of performances is done, and one weekend to go.

The Von Trapp family rehearsing.

Rehearsal for the party scene.

I had to practice a few times to get her hair right.

Opening night!

The actress who plays Maria is amazing!

This is the first time the kids march onto stage.

Singing "Doe A Deer"

Gretl gets scared during a thunderstorm.

She had to yodel by herself.  She is great!
Dancing at a party.

The kids singing "So Long, Farewell"

Everyone is sad when Maria leaves.

"I've got a sore finger."
The Nazi invasion has happened.

Singing at the Kaltzberg Festival before their escape.

The big finale after they escaped over the mountains.

Hanging out with the other young Von Trapp girls.
We are so incredibly proud of Bailey and all the hard work she put into this role.  The show is really amazing.  If you are reading this and still want to see the performance, get to Miles City on December 2nd or 4th!  We feel so fortunate to have the Barn Players theater group in Miles City.  They offer such a wonderful opportunity for our community.

Halloween 2016

Halloween seemed to span a few weeks for us.  There were pumpkin painting parties and school activities.  And of course there was trick-or-treating.  The girls were Lucy and Susan from Chronicles of Narnia.

A pumpkin painting party with our friends.

Bailey "helped" her teacher during the Spook Parade at school.

I got to help with Josie's party at preschool.

Mummies!

Pumpkin carving with Dad!

Susan!

Lucy!

We hit the annual carnival at the Sleep Inn.
The hospital always provides a free photographer, which is good because I didn't get any pictures of the girls together.

A Few Fall Things

Bunny!

Josie had to spend a long, cold morning with me in the concession trailer during soccer season.

Bailey had to move up to U12 soccer and was almost the youngest on her team.  She had a fun season though.

Josie helped Dad do come yard clean-up.

My friend sent me this picture of Josie and her son, Trafton.  Kind of blurry but super cute.

Cousins!

Josie is enjoying some reading time at preschool.

The firefighters came to preschool and let the kids get into the ambulance.

And the firetruck.

Awwww.
