Bailey Bug!

Josie is a force to be reckoned with, and sometimes poor Bailey feels a bit overshadowed.  It is time for some serious Bailey attention.  Here are a few things going on in her world lately:

With a little help from youtube.com I have been trying new hairstyles for Bailey.  She likes this crown twist. We have to find ways to control all of that hair!

Bailey's school had a Mardi Gras reading challenge going on during February, and you could earn beads to wear during a parade on the last day. The kids also made masks and were encouraged to wear purple, yellow, and green.

Bailey is so creative! She took an old box, punched a bunch of holes in it with a pen, covered it with tissue paper, and voila - a cool star night light.  She is very proud of it.

It was Dr. Seuss week at Bailey's school last week, and each day was something fun.  Friday was "dress as your favorite character day" which we remembered at bedtime on Thursday night. And we did so good all week!  Anyway, we managed to find some red/dark pink clothing and I made a Thing 2 sign.  She wanted to dye her hair with food coloring, but I nixed that idea.  You can't tell but I put her hair in about 10 ponytails with blue rubber bands.  That had to do.  She was happy with it.  Phew!

Girls Hockey Day!  The Miles City Generals held a day for girls who wanted to try hockey.  Bailey didn't play this season, but she wanted to give it a try so she could decide for next year.  I think all of the gear might have weighed as much as she does.  She got all suited up and headed out on the ice.  Her hip pad things kept falling down, but she was a trooper.  I think it was a challenge to hold that helmet and face guard up, but she hung in there.  The coaches broke the girls into groups and ran them through some drills.  Bailey was exhausted by the time it was done, and I was freezing.  It was actually warmer outside than it was inside the rink.  We were both ready to go.  Bailey decided she would rather keep going to open skating with Miles and doesn't think hockey is her thing.  I can't say I am disappointed with that decision.  I am so proud of her for giving it a try though.
