Scattered stuff

Josie is showing some interest in the potty chair, but no action yet.

Josie insists on wearing her helmet ALL the time.

Grandma Lynn gave us an two antique school desks, and the girls love to play school.

Winston is adjusting to his new home quite well.  He still tortures Josie with his razor puppy teeth but he is learning.

Josie loves Playdoh!

Bailey and Clea did some nice artwork on a sunny day.

We haven't forgotten about our Ellie.  She is such a great dog.

Here is Bailey running for some candy at the Bucking Horse Parade.

Watching the parade with Dad.

Daddy and his girls.

Winston

Our new puppy is finally here!  We went to Emigrant over the weekend to attend the official "Puppy Picking Party" on Sunday.  We decided to make a little getaway out of the event, and we drove over on Saturday to meet up with our friends Josh and Amy Amidon.  We all had a fabulous dinner at Chico Hot Springs followed by a nice soak in the pools.  We spent the night at the Yellowstone Country B&B in a great little cabin. On Sunday morning we converged at Tim Powell's place with the other new puppy owners.  I won't go into all the details of the picking process, but I am pretty sure we ended up with the best pup in the litter.  I considered sending him back after he cried all night during his first night at home, but he is quickly adjusting.  I guess we'll keep him.

The proud new owners

Who could resist that face?

Amy had fun playing with the puppy, and she was hoping someone wouldn't show up to get one of them. Sorry Amy.

I am pretty sure Josh wanted to take one home too.
Winston got a bath in the kitchen sink - not one of my best ideas.

Bailey absolutely LOVES Winston and wants to spend all of her free time with him.
Ellie isn't quite so excited about the new addition.

Pancakes and Princesses

Miles City does an annual "Breakfast with the Princesses" event at the old Ursaline Convent.  Bailey was so excited, and REALLY wanted to dress as Elsa from Frozen.  I didn't want to spend a fortune on an actual Elsa dress, so I promised I would make a dress for Bailey.  Oh, and I don't really know how to sew or make dresses.  We started out with a blue sequined leotard which I took to Walmart in search of matching fabric.  Making the long skirt wasn't too hard, but trying to figure out how to make a flowing cape type thing with long sleeves was interesting.  The fabric I chose was IMPOSSIBLE to work with and kept unraveling.  I wanted to give up but I had made a promise to a very cute 6 year old. I finally got something put together, and Bailey proclaimed it to be "perfect!"  Score some major points for Mom.  Bailey had a great time at the event, and the dress make it through without completely falling apart.  Success!

Of course we had to do the messy side-braid like Elsa.

Bailey loved how the back flowed out behind her.

She wanted the train even longer but I figured everyone would keep stepping on it.

Price Charming and Cinderella? Not quite sure.

Bailey and her friend Emma were both beautiful Elsas.

And of course there were pancakes! Because what princess doesn't love pancakes?

And royal dancing was in order!
