Vegas Adventure!

We made good on our Christmas present to the girls and headed to Las Vegas in February.  Unfortunately they were experiencing their coldest week of the year, but we made it work.
Josie's first airplane ride.
Not the first plane ride for Bailey, but she was still excited!
Checking out the city from our hotel room.

We headed out bright and early the first morning to explore. This is right outside our hotel.

Making wishes in the fountain.

The flamingo exhibit at The Flamingo Hotel was a big hit with the girls.

Bailey loves coy!
A street performer at the Venetian hotel.
Some optical illusion fun on the street.

The Dolphin Habitat at our hotel, the Mirage.

Siegfried of Siegfried and Roy was there!
Minnie Mouse was just wandering around.
We took a ride in the High Roller, the world's tallest Ferris Wheel.

I spent some time reminiscing about my old stomping grounds.

Each ferris wheel pod could hold 40 people.  It was just us and a few others in ours which was nice.
We hit the peak at 550 feet.  The trip around took about 30 minutes.

Bailey wants this lady's job cleaning and playing with manta rays.
We caught the Fall of Atlantis show at Ceasar's Palace.
The fountains outside the Bellagio hotel were pretty cool.
Inside the Bellagio they had decorations for Chinese New Year, the Year of the Dog.

The Mandalay Bay Shark Reef had some cool animals.

Red made a guest appearance at M&M World.
So many COLORS!
Our kids were the only ones brave enough to swim in the hotel pool in 50 degrees.  The lifeguard was wearing a parka.

Getting ready for the Tournament of Kings at the Excaliber.

We got to tour the Tanked facility.  The stars of the show were all there, which was a great surprise. This is Brett.

This is the shop where they make the tanks and all the coral and other decorations.
The main designer had drawings of many of the tanks they have made on the show.
This is Wayde.
Heather even came out for a picture.
After the Tanked tour we headed to an aquarium called SeaQuest.

We surprised Bailey and had set up a time to swim with rays and sharks.

Josie and I stayed out of the pool and visited the rays.

It is hard to see, but Miles and Bailey are feeding rays and sharks.

Josie and I wandered off and got to see a snake for a few minutes.
Bailey up close and personal with a ray.
We spent our final night with my old boss, Tim.  His house is amazing, and this is the view of the pool from one of guest rooms.

The girls had fun playing in the game room.
Josie found a new friend, Watson.  He followed her everywhere.

After leaving Tim's we drove into Red Rock Canyon before heading to the airport to fly home.
We had a fantastic time exploring Las Vegas and spending time together as a family.  We are looking forward to our next family vacation.
