This is my attempt to document the lives of my wonderfully amazing daughters Bailey and Josephine. I might sneak in a few details about myself, my hubbie Miles, & our dogs Ellie and Winston along the way.

I now pronounce you husband and wife ...
Bailey has recently taken an interest in playing with baby dolls, and one in particular has become a favorite. She named the baby Baby Carrie after the baby in "Little House in the Big Woods," which we are reading right now. Baby Carrie has become a permanent fixture wherever Bailey goes. Well yesterday we had a most joyous occasion - Baby Carrie got married! The lucky lady got to "pick which boy she loves the most" from the two male Cabbage Patch Kids we have still kicking around from my and Miles' childhood. Link Willie (my preemie doll) was the big winner. Bailey set up a fairly elaborate wedding ceremony which included a veil and bouquet taped to Baby Carrie (being referred to as just Carrie for the ceremony because Baby Carrie must have sounded a bit strange,) lots of guests of the stuffed variety, a makeshift aisle and alter, and even flower petals which were painstakingly gathered from the apple tree in our yard. The ceremony took place in a Hawaiian church (no idea where that came from) and was a very serious event with lots of "blessings" from the wedding announcer, Bailey. One of the special guests (me) got to say a blessing for the couple as well. I was very impressed with the entire event, but the best part came when it was time for bed that evening. Bailey was searching the house for something and I asked what she needed. She explained that she needed a bigger container that could hold Baby Carrie and Link together because now that they were married they needed to sleep in the same bed. I reminded her she had a baby crib downstairs that would work but she informed me that it needed to be in her room "because they were still babies mom." Duh. We moved the crib upstairs so that Bailey can take care of the married babies. I wish the happy couple many years of happiness, or at least a little happiness until Bailey loses interest and moves on to the next toy.
