Abracadora Magical Medora

Grandma and Grandpa Muscha arranged for all of us to spend Labor Day weekend in Medora, ND.  We had a very nice trip even though LOTS of other people were also enjoying Medora over the weekend.  The crowds didn't get us down though, and the kids stayed busy with all of the fun stuff to do.  We hope to make it an annual event.  Bailey's favorite part was the big musical show that runs each night.  There is a beautiful outdoor theater in the badlands, and the musical celebrates Medora, Teddy Roosevelt, and North Dakota. Thank you Kathy and Wayne for a fantastic trip.  (And a special thanks for the wonderful massage you arranged for me.  What a treat!)

Mini golf was a big hit with everyone.

I love when the cousins hold hands and get along.

Ice cream after supper!

The Muscha boys having a cold one on the tailgate outside our hotel room.  Not a great picture but great guys.

Playing at the park which is set up like an old western town.

A look at the musical stage before heading down into the theater.

The kids got to go on stage before the musical for a little magic show.  They were supposed to yell out "Abracadora Magical Medora" hence the name of the post.

It started to get dark and there were very bright stage lights that didn't agree with the camera in my phone, but I tried to get some pictures of the singing and dancing.  Unfortunately my phone died after the first few minutes.

I am thinking Bailey took this picture with my phone, and it sure is cute.  Hi Tyler!

Overall we really enjoyed our weekend.  Grandma Kate took the older kids into Theodore Roosevelt National Park for a good part of the day on Sunday, but I don't have any pictures of that.  I forgot to ask if she took any.  If she did I will try to get them and post them soon.  The kids had a great time and came back tired and dirty - always signs of a successful outing.

Thanks again Kathy and Wayne!  We appreciate all you did to make the trip happen.
